Where it All Began

Lake Creek Winery 

Town: Marthasville | Population: 1,258 | Located: 6 miles north of Washington 

Explore Lake Creek Winery in its beautifully remodeled 1860’s farmhouse atop river bluffs.

The winery offers a charming escape with a covered deck and a patio area. Relax while taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.

Lake Creek has live music which enhances the experience, creating a perfect backdrop for relaxation.

Lake Creek is open Thursdays 11 am – 6 pm, Fridays & Saturdays 11 am – 8 pm, and on Sundays 11 am – 6 pm. Check their website for upcoming events for live music.

St. Jordan Creek Winery

McKelvey Vineyards, situated on a 60-acre farm boasts a rich history that dates back to a time when it produced some of the region’s finest wines. 

After a closure during prohibition and the removal of vineyards, owner Patricia McKelvey initiated a restoration process in 2016, bringing the old farmhouse and vineyards back to their former glory. 

Now open to the public, the property features an all-season pavilion, an event center, and guest lodging at the Steeple View Manor.

Beyond offering unique and enticing wines, McKelvey Vineyards provides delightful experiences, including dinner, day trips, tours, and weekend getaway packages. 

The property is kid and pet-friendly. 

The extensive bar menu features McKelvey Vineyards wine, craft beers, and cocktails.

Augusta Winery
