St. Peter’s Apple Festival

Town: Monroe Connecticut | Population 18,000 

If you are looking for another small town annual apple festival to attend, try this apple festival that has been happening for over 65 years and is put on by St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Monroe. 

One newspaper once commented on how one should think small-town Gilmore Girls style, that’s the vibe of this apple festival. 

This annual celebration is a beloved local event that takes place in historical Monroe Green, a private park in Monroe Connecticut, each year this two day event happens on the first weekend after Labor Day.  

Each year’s festivities include over 100 craft vendors that sell just about everything, even doll clothes, food booths including homemade baked goods, mums, live music and so much more. Of course, all things apples at Apple Central (apple pie, apple cider, etc) are being sold as well.

This festival is a small town at its best showing a feeling of togetherness and joy of being together.
